Vertel Makes Business Easier -- Provides e*ORB Software for Evaluation Via the Web

Woodland Hills, Calif., April 24, 2000 – Vertel® (NASDAQ: VRTL), leading provider of mediation software for telecommunications networks, announced that today customers can quickly and easily evaluate its unique e*ORB software online.
Now available for download via the Web at www.vertel.com, customers can begin evaluating the software for use in their telecommunications infrastructure and product development -- instantly. Additionally, customers can purchase the software directly via the Vertel Web site in the first step of the company's e-business strategy.
The evaluation download represents the Vertel commitment to provide industry-leading technology to customers and to cut time-to-market at every step of the integration process, from initial trial to deployment. The free 30-day evaluation download of e*ORB software is supported via e-mail from the Web site.
"By providing immediate access to information and materials that used to take days and even weeks to obtain, the Internet has created a 24-hour business day," said Bruce Brown, president and CEO, Vertel. "As our worldwide customer base is forced to compete in Internet time, we feel that offering our software to customers via Web download is really the next level of customer support, making it easier than ever to evaluate our software and get to market ahead of the competition."
