Hills, Calif., April 25, 2000 Vertel® (NASDAQ: VRTL), a leading provider of mediation software for telecommunications networks, today announced that Dacom, the second-largest service provider in Korea, will deploy the industry- leading Vertel e-ORB software in the first CORBA-based management system for a wireless network.
e-ORB software, the telecommunications industry's first CORBA-based technology designed with telecom-grade reliability (99.999 percent), high-performance, small form factor, and platform independence, will replace existing CORBA technology being used by Dacom in its current projects. This contract marks the first deployment of Vertel's e-ORB software in Asia. Dacom will begin deployment of e-ORB software in May 2000.
