Vertel Vice President Named to TeleManagement Forum Board of Directors; Toni Graham Added to Distinct List of Trustees for Telecommunications Organization

Woodland Hills, Calif., November 9, 2000 – Vertel® (NASDAQ: VRTL),. The vice president of research, development and professional services unit for Vertel(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTL), a leading provider of mediation software for telecommunications networks, has been appointed to the TeleManagement Forum (TMF) board of directors.
Toni Graham sat on the board of trustees for four years while employed by Hewlett-Packard, where she worked for more than 20 years. Graham joined Vertel in June 2000 and the TeleManagement Forum has asked her to return to her position.
TeleManagement Forum is a non-profit organization that guides the management and operation of communications services. The board of directors is selectively chosen by votes from the TMF member companies and currently has 18 trustees.

TeleManagement Forum also hosts the TeleManagement World conference, where experts discuss the key business issues, technology trends and real-world solutions in operations and management for the information and communications industry. The show takes place Nov. 14- 16, 2000 in Chicago. Vertel will be exhibiting at booth 303.
